The traditional ‘Forth Inn’ is smack bang right in the centre of Aberfoyle, it’s not a large town but it has character and it’s a great place to visit.

From the street, it looks like it might be a decent enough ‘local’ but you have no idea of what is waiting inside.

Situated 4 miles east on the A81 towards Stirling. Our 6 Waterfront Lodges and Chalets are set right by the idyllic Lake of Menteith and feature huge glass sliding doors, showing off the spectacular view over the lake to Ben Lomond and the Menteith Hills.

Dreamcatcher Cabins are located in Gartmore, at the heart of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Our luxuriously romantic cabins are completely private and secluded amongst their very own patch of woodland – the ideal couple’s getaway.

All of our cabins have a covered deck and outdoor bath, log burning stoves, twinkling fairy lights and the cosiest double beds with ensuite shower rooms allowing you to effortlessly escape the pressures and stress of everyday life.

Situated on the A81 between Balfron and Aberfoyle in the beautiful Trossachs area of Central Scotland. With an onsite café where you can enjoy a coffee and a cake while overlooking the mountains. We also have free parking and disabled access throughout the centre.

We grow a large proportion of our own plants either on site or at our sister nursery, ensuring the plants will be well suited to the local climate and soil types. We offer everything you need to get your garden growing from flower and vegetable seeds, bedding, fruit and veg, perennials, alpines, roses and shrubs, propagation equipment and tools, a wide range of composts, pots and fertilizers, canes, stakes and trellis.

Margaret designed and oversaw all the internal shop construction herself including a fabulous kitchen open for the public to view the making all her amazing stuff. She has now gained an excellent reputation for her produce especially for her shortbread – this is Margaret’s own recipe which she hasn’t even written down. Recently she has made up a new recipe for vegan shortbread which is becoming increasingly popular. Margaret also has made all the recipes for her jams, jellies, chutneys and marmalades as well as cookies, cakes, biscuits, traybakes and brownies. Everything Margaret makes is made with great care and a lot of love!

Having launched their first St Mocha Coffee Shop in Balmaha during 2014, it was only a matter of time before brothers Stuart and David Fraser would begin roasting their own coffee. In late 2017 they launched Loch Lomond's first coffee roasting business - Loch Lomond Coffee Co.

The St Mocha brand is growing too with a kiosk on Luss Pier and in Aberfoyle The Station has recently opened. Loch Lomond Coffee is also served at The Oak Tree Inn, their original family business.

As well as enjoying coffee in a growing number of outlets, you can get a little bit of Loch Lomond in your own home, with bags of coffee for sale in the coffee shops and on-line shop.

Nether Glenny Farm is nestled in the Menteith hills in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. A rural retreat although only a short scenic drive to Aberfoyle and Stirling. We have three self catering cottages and a bothy, the perfect escape for you.

Hire a fifteen foot fishing boat on the Lake of Menteith – the most well known Trout Fishery in Scotland - situated 4 miles east towards Stirling.

The Lake is stocked weekly , with an even distribution by boat, with top quality rainbow trout and brown trout that are reared in the location by Lake Staff.

We are lucky to live in the Trossachs and delighted to share our new self-catering accommodation, collectively known as The Trossachs Collection. The collection consists of a converted workshop and barn, each sleeping 4, plus two romantic cabins, each sleeping two. We've thoughtfully designed the accommodation to repurpose existing buildings and in the case of the cabin created a beautiful new building that blends into the landscape around it.

As you will see from our suggestions for things to do in the countryside there is plenty to enjoy, around the Trossachs Collection you could see red squirrels, foxes, all type of deer, hawks or even an otter.
